Thurston DJ’d my 50th bash and was brillant from start to finish. I had a playlist I’d put together on Spotify that linked to the party theme, and which needed to be played during one of his sets. Thurston kindly configured it in advance to fit with his system, and even recommended some other songs which worked better and kindly added another song at fairly short notice. My only regret is that he couldn’t have played longer - as we had to finish by 1am! Thank you Thurston for helping to make my 50th bash unforgettable.

You should book Thurston for your party. Not only is he a great guy with an awesome sound and light system, he also asks exactly what you want and then does it, going beyond expectations. He’s an absolutely brilliant DJ and all round lovely bloke, and all our guests commented on how good he is. He has a wide and in-depth knowledge of music, and made a point of finding some very obscure tracks that we requested. He made sure everything was set up in the venue before we returned from the registry office and had a microphone ready for speeches. His communication was completely on point and everything went perfectly to plan, we didn’t need to ask for anything on the day. 10 out of 10.

Sometimes there's a party where I wish we could have played on 'till 4a.m. You and your guests were fantastic, deeply into your music and it was a lot of fun playing some deep cuts and rare grooves!

We were back for our annual pool party and DJ Thurston Jones was spinning the decks again this year, and I must say, it was an absolute blast! From start to finish, DJ Thurston Jones delivered a great set of Ibiza style tunes that worked beautifully with the hot, hot weather.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I have a passion for great dance music, and I like the music to do the talking so I won't interrupt it with a lot of microphone hype!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've performed at dance music nights, outdoor beach parties and festivals.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Probably a shortlist of my all time greats would include Sasha, Quivver (John Graham), Digweed, Dixon, James Holden, Miss Kitten, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Roni Size but the list is long and ever-growing.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

A corporate event on board a yacht on Lake Como in Italy - certainly the most beautiful backdrop.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. I can play music before DJ sets via our PA and keep the music continuous between breaks if you have a live band.

How much time do you need to set up?

I'll usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time to get the power, audio equipment, PA and lighting ready, then perform a soundcheck. It takes a similar time to break it all down after the performance.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I love to craft a set by learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. Requests are welcome. I'm happy to chat first and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. I bring everything. I'll need shelter (if it is outdoors, cover and shade) and power. But everything else including PA, media players, mixer, booth, stands, lighting, cabling, DMX controller, PA mixer, microphone, backup controller are all included.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If you have particular songs you want to hear, let me know in advance. It's your party!
