Craig Balien originally hails from South Wales and following training at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting has gone on to perform the world over; from London’s West End to Europe and beyond the sea. Whilst in foggy London town, Craig starred in award-winning productions such as Ragtime, Chess & Children of Eden. Further afield, he has toured arenas across Europe in The Who’s Tommy and spearheaded the entertainment team for Holland America Line luxury cruises. In a career of highs Craig has had the privilege to perform in Moscow, Vienna, The Maldives, Bruges and Geneva. In recent years Craig’s versatility has seen him team up with Les Miserables’ own “Barricade Boys”, The FlyBoys” (As seen on BBC’s Pitch Battle) and “The Tenors of Rock” (As seen on The X Factor).

I am so happy that we chose Craig to perform at our wedding. He was a pleasure to deal with—professional, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, especially since we booked him last minute. His two sets were absolutely perfect. The first set of songs created a wonderful atmosphere for our afternoon drinks, and the second set had everyone on the dance floor to get the party started He has a fantastic voice and a truly charismatic presence that captivated our guests and made sure they felt involved in the event. One of the highlights of the night was Craig performing a medley of 2 songs for our first dance. He was truly dedicated to making the event special for us. On top of all that, his price was very reasonable, which was a huge help with our budget. I've already had so many guests ask for his details to book him for their events.

Craig provided the perfect entertainment for a recent themed event for the Social Sisters. He curated a stunning setlist to compliment the vibe of the evening and delivered it with a charm that lingers (already a future booking planned!), confidence in motion and a sense of inclusion amongst everyone in the room. All of us enioyed and everyone was up dancing. Some really lovely moments and memories made! Craig is highly recommended by the most popular ladies social group in the Vale!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We aim to be as flexible as possible to help your event run smoothly. If your timings shift in the lead-up to the day, just let us know and I’ll do my best to compromise any way I can.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I am happy to provide background music for up to an hour before my set, in between sets, and up to half an hour after my final set. This is complimentary.

How much time do you need to set up?

An hour is always a sensible amount of time to set up and do a sound check. Background music can begin immediately after the checks are completed.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You can suggest as many songs as you like from within the set list. Please also allow some flexibility as I utilise my many years of experience to shape the set in real time. Please also indicate any songs you feel strongly that you do not wish to hear for whatever reason.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I am completely self-contained.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Provided I can source the particular song that you require, I will learn and perform it for you for a £20 fee. This is to reflect rehearsal time and costs involved.
