Following completion of her training as a classical cellist in London, she relocated to Suffolk, spending time in the classroom before returning to 'doing' rather than 'teaching'. Claire enjoys the diversity of performing in a range of styles and collaborating with other performers in live and recorded mediums. Recent performance work include performing with the Prometheus Orchestra, as electric cellist with The ELO Encounter, with Hush Collective for London and regional performances and as one half of Duetto Arpeggione. Claire plays electric and acoustic cello.

Claire arrived and set up long before any guests arrived , so was playing on their arrival, she is a wonderful cellist which made our outdoor venue in the forest magical, without her the wedding would not have been so special, she carried on playing after guests left and the photographer was snapping away at the married couple .so they could hear her still . She really made the ceremony complete . We would like to thank her for being part of the special day

Claire was very professional, punctual and played an extract from the Bach third cello suite with great sensitivity. Her communication was excellent throughout.

This was a surprise for our parents and it was just amazing. Claire played beautifully and made their day. She played requests for them and a couple of pre arranged pieces we had asked for. It was freezing but she just got on with it and was so proffesional as well as lovely and personable. Couldn't reccomend her highly enough. Thanks Claire, you have given our family a wonderful memory.

Claire arrived on time and was flexible with the set length and repertoire. Her playing was outstanding and the crowd loved her. We had an upbeat wedding and her use of the the electric cello with loop pedal was awesome. Highly, highly recommended!

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

The only different option would be the use of acoustic cello (most wedding situations), electro-acoustic (when you require some additional amplification) or electric cello (for when you want a more modern aesthetic.)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually arrive 45 minutes before the booked start time. Set up will only take around 10 minutes but I will make sure I am set, warmed up and sound-checked before the booked start time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes. I provide a full repertoire list for you to select from. If there is a particular request not on my list then it is possible for me to add this for you, given enough notice.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

If playing acoustic cello then I bring all it need including a battery operated speaker to play my backing tracks. In large venues you may wish to amplify my playing in which case you would need to arrange for a PA.
