Wedding Duet + Ceilidh Band2 musicians4 hours
We're one of the very few deuts that can give you both: elegant wedding ceremony music from a classical fiddle/violin and guitar duet, AND a ceilidh band!
Enjoy the best of both worlds with our versatile duo: a classically trained fiddle/violin and guitar team who bring elegance and warmth to your ceremony and drinks reception with a mix of classical favourites, Scottish and Irish folk tunes, and romantic melodies.
Later in the evening, we transform into a lively ceilidh band, getting everyone on the dance floor for a rip-roaring ceilidh. As well as playing fiddle, Chris is an expert dance caller, and will lead everyone through the dances and will have the most inexperienced partygoers flying round the Dashing White Sergeant in no time. .

Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
We're go the extra mile to ensure our clients have the piece of mind before their event, and put every effort into curating the perfect atmosphere for the occasion.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We regularly perform in all kinds of venues across Scotland, from village halls, churches, hotel receptions - even the V&A in Dundee and a couple's proposal at the gates of Edinburgh Castle.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Every wedding feels high profile for us; it's incredibly special to be an integral part of couples' most important day in their lives.
Do you have different line-up options?
Yes. If you're only looking for a solo guitarist or a solo violinist/fiddle player, we can arrange a solo performance of either performer.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible, and understand things can always run slightly differently to planned on the day. With good notice, we can alter our times to accommodate reasonable changes on the day.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
If our performance has our PA system, we're more than happy to queue any playlist through our speakers for as long as we've been booked.
How much time do you need to set up?
We arrive at the venue at least an hour before. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance.
Can you roam around while you perform?
This is possible, as long as we have a clear idea of what you have in mind. We can usually do this for around 15 minutes or so, but can come and go with you if this is something you'd like at your event.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Of course, and feel free to get in touch with any requests for more niche tunes, and we'll be more than happy to play them for you.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes, our full PA system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 3 by 5 metres to perform, but can make almost anything work.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on giving a bespoke experience, and can learn any themes or melodies for your special occasion, especially wedding ceremonies. Given enough time, we can learn any tune for you.
