Chris James has over 30 years guitar playing experience from playing in a Semi Professional Soul band to playing the cabaret circuits in duos and trios and covers bands until he found his passion which was to play the Flamenco guitar. Learning his passion has took over 20yrs hard graft and people have described his playing style similar to the great maestro Manita De Platas Chris has lived in Australia and played many gigs in restaurants and markets on the Sunshine Coast, now that was living the dream especially playing on the promenade overlooking the sea at twilight. Chris James specialises in playing Spanish guitar comprising of Flamenco ,Classical ,Latin and Pop fingerstyle cover arrangements ie Ed Sheeran, Coldplay,Keane,Harry Styles,Paul Weller to name a few,also uses backing tracks for some Latin,Spanish grooves ranging from Gipsy Kings,Sting,Jesse Cook,Chris Issak etc He would class his style as Neuvo Flamenco or Spanish Fusion taking inspiration from other types of World Music Chris is available to perform at various events ie Weddings,Corporate Functions,Special Events,Restaurants and Cafes He would class his style as Neuvo Flamenco or Spanish Fusion taking inspiration from other types of World Music Let Chris entertain you with flamenco, be it a snappy Tango or to sooth the mood a delicious Rumba or a dark brooding Tarantas or if you prefer some classical Romanza .Whatever your requirements Chris can assist with.
