Violinist at RWCMD, Bill Jones Music Student of the Year, 1st violinist in The Baker Quartet, The Amicus Trio and Central England Ensemble
Studying violin at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under Lowri Porter, Assistant Leader and First Violinist of WNO. Chloe has taken part in masterclasses with Itzhak Rashkovsky, Lesley Hatfield, Pablo Hernan Benedi and The Emerson Quartet. She was also the leaders of Chamber and Symphony Orchestra at Old Swinford Hospital which allowed her to play Bach's Double Violin Concerto on a music tour in Barcelona Cathedral. She is the violinist in The Amicus Trio. Their repertoire; Mac Reger's String Trio in A minor, Corelli's String Trio Sonata No II and V and Dvorak's Baguetelles. She was the leader of Sandwell Youth Orchestra for three years and went on to win the Student of the Year winning a bursary prize money from Bill Jones as well as playing Mozart's Violin Concerto in G before she left to study at RWCMD. She has recently played with RWCMD Symphony Orchestra in St David's Hall, Cardiff with conductors David Jones and Carlo Rizzi, performing Beethoven's Symphony No 9 and Holst's The Planets. She is also the first violinist of The Baker Quartet at RWCMD who have recently played Mendelssohn's Quartet Op 12 and have recorded quartet arrangements for other student's portfolios. Chloe has taken part in La Marriete Summer String Masterclasses being taught by David Adams (leader of WNO) and had ensemble masterclasses with Alice Neary and Krysia Osostowicz on this course. She has played with the Central England Ensemble (2011-present) and has also played in Central England Camerata playing repertoire such as Shostakovich: Symphony No. 5, Saint-Saens with Margaret Fingerhut, Mozart: Symphony No. 40, Tchaikovsky: Symphony No.5, Elgar: Symphony No.1, Khachaturian: Spartacus Suite No.2, Dvorak: Serenade for Strings, Stravinsky: Firebird Suite, well known film music and many works by the British classical composer Andrew Downes.
