Celtic Dawn is a duo playing toe tapping Irish tunes , we can also play slow and contemplative music too and requests can be made as we both play by ear. We show the beauty and timelessness of folk music but sometimes add a slight twist just for interest. We are two experiences and accomplished musicians , a retired headmaster and a religious minister. Both of us are dependable and reliable. Based in Shropshire , we offer to travel to neighbouring counties. Featuring Violin, Guitar and Banjo, Irish whistle , bells and beat , we are ready to play for your event. 'It was an absolute delight to welcome Celtic Dawn to one of our recent sessions at Connect For Life. It had been a little while since we had Rev Jacob at our session but going on previous performances we knew we were in for a treat. The music was incredibly invocative, our service users loved the musical journey that they were taken on - an absolute delight!'

Do you have different line-up options?

There are two of us and we are both multi instrumentalists

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No worries… we will try and be as adaptable as possible

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes you are welcome to use our PA between sets. There is no additional charge for this.

How much time do you need to set up?

We generally take about an hour. We have a few instruments which we need to tune!

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes we can play acoustically and move around your guests

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We can adapt our playlist according to your requirements. From Toe Tapping Irish reels to gently French airs.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes - we both play by ear so if we know if there’s a good chance we could play it!
