I have been a freelance orchestral player, mainly with chamber orchestras and in associated chamber groups since I left my contract job with the Liverpool Phil in the 'eighties. My work has included different roles including leading, section principaI (violin 2 as well as viola) soloist, chamber player and tutti. l was co-leader of the Northern Chamber Orchestra from 1985 to 1990 and go back now as a guest, alongside playing in various roles with chamber orchestras in the Midlands where I now live. I am also a keen music educator, coaching for the National Children's Orchestras, conducting the Leicester Schools Senior Strings and teaching at Birmingham Junior Conservatoire.
