Cansu Altunay

I am a classically trained flautist. I started playing piano at age 4 and flute at age 14. In 2009 I got accepted to fine arts high school and in 2009 got accepted in the state conservatory in Turkey. During my university education I played both flute and piccolo in Anadolu Symphony Orchestra. In 2013 I graduated from state conservatory with high honors. After my graduation I lived in Vienna for 1,5 years and continued my flute education in there, participated in masterclasses and had chances to work with valuable professors in different schools in Austria. During my uni education I was a member of Anadolu Symphony Orchestra as flute and piccolo player, performed in various chamber music groups with guitar, harp, woodwind trio and quintet, flute duos and trios. I was also a member of a band called Allegra, Izmir, Turkey based big band orchestra, singing mainly famous dancing ballads, pop, latin songs. Performed generally in wedding gigs and concerts.
