Blue Mountain Reggae Band is a five piece, Female - fronted cover band. Their name was inspired by the beautiful mountain range in Jamaica, which is also famous for coffee production. The band plays a wide variety of current, some classic Reggae and their take on popular songs. Taking popular songs that aren't Reggae and playing them in a Reggae style is what sets them apart from other bands. Whether you're a seasoned Reggae fan or new to the genre, Blue Mountain Reggae Band delivers an unforgettable musical experience. Although, based in Essex and London, they are a travelling band and perform all over the UK. Members have also performed internationally, accumulating considerable amounts of experience. Recently, the band was privileged to perform alongside legends in Reggae music, such as Dandy Livingstone and Susan Cadogan. Influences include: Bob Marley, Marcia Griffiths, Etana and Amy Winehouse. Venue examples include social clubs, festivals, pubs and corporate events. Blue Mountain Reggae Band’s unique sound, uplifting vibes and eclectic mix of songs have captivated audiences and leave people wanting to hear more. Although their original line up is a 5 - piece band, they also have a duo and trio option. The duo would include 1 lead female vocals and keys, while the trio would include 1 lead female vocals, keys and guitar/bass.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Marcia Griffiths, Etana, Bob Marley have really inspired us. The list could go on.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We were privileged to share the stage with legends in Reggae music, such as Dandy Livingstone and Susan Cadogan.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes. Our standard line-up is as follows: 5-piece band, 1 Lead Female Vocalist, Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums. We also have a duo and trio option.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If there are any issues /changes after booking has been made, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to work around the changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. We can provide backing music before, in between and after live sets. We can also provide a DJ for an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up 1 to 1.5 hour before the performance time. As soon as the PA system is set up, we can provide backing music.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, we do not roam.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA is included in the quote. Lighting can be provided upon request for an extra fee. This can be found in the 'add-ons' section on our profile.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Every booking gets one 'off the menu' song request for free. If there is more than one special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you, as long as the band is given plenty of time. There is a fee of £50 for this service to take into account practice and rehearsal times etc.
