What do your clients love most about your performances?
We are honored to present Black Slate, our distinguished Roots Rock Reggae band, which has been dedicated to the creation and performance of its exceptional sound for more than 50 years. Throughout our journey, we have produced a rich tapestry of music that transcends generations and unites diverse audiences.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We have performed at venues ranging from the Royal Albert Hall to a local pub in Islington, and at festivals accommodating as many as 50,000 attendees to intimate gatherings of 100 individuals.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
We have had the opportunity to collaborate with and meet esteemed artists such as Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Ken Booth, and Peter Tosh, among others.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Achieve a complete sell-out at the Royal Albert Hall, with an audience of 50,000 in Germany, and successfully complete a sold-out tour in New Zealand.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our basic line-up is as follows: Vocals, Guitar,bass, Keys, Drums. We also have a 8 piece optionwzith female vocals and we can add an horn section from 1 to 4 persons Sax, flute and Trumpet.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know, we don't double book. just one show a day/evening.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
we can provide an iPod, or if you want a DJ, we can bring on also also at an extra cost
How much time do you need to set up?
time need to set is based the size of the venue, but an average of 2 hour for set and sound check
Can you roam around while you perform?
we set up on a stage, and put a show on, we are not a background band
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
yes, to make your event special
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
no, its based on the size of your venue. each job is tailor made for yourself
Can you learn song requests before the event?
no, we really only perform our own songs, and based on the night we alter to suit the crowd.
