Bit The Pip are a violin/guitar/vocals duo based in Warwickshire. Phoebe and Hugh have been performing together for a number of years, since meeting and falling in love themselves. Their repertoire includes a mixture pop and folk music, and can be intertwined with improvisation. They love to prepare special songs for the ocassion to the couple's request, and support the couple in choosing tracks. Phoebe trained in classical violin at the University of Manchester and now loves performing classical, pop and folk music alike. In 2021, Phoebe had the privelige of performing 'The Lark Ascending' with Rugby Roccoco Orchestra. Although Phoebe learnt through the classical tradition, they have a passion for improvisation and folk music. Alongside Hugh's innovative guitar playing, Phoebe is able to take any classic song or piece and adapt it to suit your big day. Phoebe has performed on countless special occasions, with Hugh, as a soloist, and as part of chamber ensembles. Hugh is a vocalist and guitar player, originally from Aotearoa (New Zealand). His vocal style is both captivating and sensitive, and truly comes from the heart. Brought up amongst the DIY ethos and local music scenes of New Zealand, Hugh has been playing guitar his entire life. To his music, Hugh brings honesty and passion, something vitally important for reflecting the love between a couple on their happy occasion. Hugh's raw talent as a musician blends beautifully with Phoebe's classical training. Together, the pair have performed in venues across New Zealand, pleasing audiences around the motu (island). Bit The Pip are both innovative and professional, always drawing on their experience within the music industry to enigineer the highest quality performance. They are incredibly adaptable and love to take isle 'requests'. Whichever song you desire to walk down the isle to, they will do their upmost to perform it! Both Phoebe and Hugh are friendly and approachable, and love to help the to-be-weds with song decisions if they so wish. They offer a complimentary video call prior to the big day to discuss music options and wishes.
