Beyond the Beat formed to play at a New Year’s Eve party at the Village Hotel, Swansea. Their first setlist was made up of party classics from the 70’s to the present, with a few unique reworking of rock / pop tunes! Although we are a new duo we have many years of separate experience playing and catering for Event. whether it’s a drinks reception, wedding breakfast or private party we can put together the perfect set for you. Our set includes current chart tunes, 80’s pop, 70’s disco, jazz standards or whatever you want to hear! We are always adding to their set, requests and special songs (first dance etc.) are catered for where we can. We have our own PA and lights, there are no extra charges with Beyond The Beat.

Hired Beyond the Beat for our party. Prior to going ahead with the booking Andy was very helpful with answering all our questions and very accommodating to our requests. Kate was unavailable to attend the night but Andy mentioned that he could bring Kat along - she did not disappoint! Andy & Kat were the perfect duo for the evening - a gorgeous acoustic duo that really set the mood in our rustic party (in our actual sheep shed!) Wouldn’t hesitate to book again, thank you so much. 5 ⭐️

We hired Beyond the Beat for one of our New Year’s Eve parties at the Village Hotel, Swansea. It was a formal event for over 100 guests with a three course meal. Kate and Andy’s set fitted our event perfectly, an acoustic duo with songs that everyone would know from across the decades. It was nice and easy to work with them, they had their own PA and there were absolutely no worries about any details before the day, as communication was always excellent. On the evening they were very flexible, when the dinner ran over they were happy to go on a bit later and play a few more upbeat numbers accordingly. Their set was well received, guests enjoyed interacting with the duo, there was some call and response from the floor and a brilliant little set of 80’s classics! I would have no hesitation recommending Beyond the Beat, they were great fun and got the crowd going nicely for one of our key events of the year. Kate has a gorgeous voice, which is perfectly complimented by Andy’s guitar playing.

I booked Kate and Andy for a private party and they were brilliant. They kept all the guests entertained and performed two fantastic sets. Thanks guys!

Do you have different line-up options?

No, when you book Beyond the Beat you always get Kate and Andy.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We will always try to accommodate, as long as we know in enough time.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. This is included in the price, you can bring your own playlist if you wish.

How much time do you need to set up?

an hour.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can! We have wireless equipment that we can use if agreed in advance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, we're very happy to liaise with customers about set beforehand.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

PA and lighting is included.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We will always learn a special request if we have enough time and think it will work to a high level for us.
