We are Beth and Connor, an acoustic duo based out of South Wales with a decade of experience performing together. We currently perform regularly in various locations of The Botanist including Cardiff, Bath, Cardiff Bay, Exeter, Worcester and Cheltenham, alongside playing weddings and other private events. We both gained our degrees in Contemporary Music Performance from USW and love performing together!

We couldn’t be happier with Funk and Fable — they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish! They went above and beyond by learning two special songs just for us, which meant so much and made the day even more memorable. They arrived fully prepared, brought all their own equipment, and set everything up seamlessly without any hassle. At one point, we even put them on the spot with a song request they hadn’t prepared, and they still pulled it off brilliantly — it turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of the day. They were also amazing with the kids, even surprising them with a little 'Frozen' performance that had everyone smiling. Truly professional, talented, and thoughtful — we’re so grateful they were part of our day.

Bethany and Connor are a lovely musical duo. They had a good selection of songs that had us singing and dancing in our seats! Really loved having them there!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love our extensive song list as it has a multitude of genres and covers songs from every decade, so there's something for everyone! We've been complimented on our sound, our engagement with guests, and Beth's vocal performance!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We regularly work with The Botanist, performing at their venues in Cardiff, Bath, Cheltenham, Worcester, and Exeter. We've performed at various wedding venues all over the UK.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We're most influenced by bands and artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Florence and the Machine, McFly and Dua Lipa. Personally, Connor is most influenced by John Mayer, and Beth by Hayley Williams of Paramore.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Beth once performed in front of Princess Beatrice of York!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our acoustic line up is our standard, however we do offer a full 5 piece electric band lineup with brass section as an addition to your event if required. We’d be happy to discuss these options with you and tailor a quote accordingly.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We know events go through many stages of planning before the day. We ask if there are any major changes to your schedule to contact us and we will do our best to accommodate!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We do! To keep your party going we provide this service as standard between sets. We also provide a DJ service for after our final set for an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

We need a minimum of 30 minutes to set up for your event.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can roam around while we perform, however we don’t currently have a wireless set up so please keep that in mind if that’s what you’re looking for!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are tailored specifically for each event, taking into account your preferred genres and party favourites from performance experience. If you have any specific requests from our repertoire, we’d be happy to include these in our set list.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, our PA and lighting system is included in the price of your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

For any songs not included in our repertoire, we can learn these by request for a small additional fee.
