Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will try as much as possible to work around your new times. Let me know as soon as possible so I can try and work around it!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, of course. We can provide music before and after for a very small fee of £40.

How much time do you need to set up?

I will usually try to come to the venue around an hour before the set. Let me know if you need me any earlier and I can try and work around your times!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course. My set list is huge and varied, let me know before if there’s any particular tunes that aren’t on the list. We probably will already know it !

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, if it’s solo performance I will bring all the necessary equipment. If it’s a band, we will bring everything.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course, however if it is a particularly unknown tune then we may need to charge a small fee of £30 to cover rehearsal times. However we will always try to minimise this.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

As a solo saxophonist/pianist, the feedback I get is the professionalism and passion in my performances. With other bands, we have received praise about our virtuosic playing and wide variety of styles, and genres.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at a lot of venues across London, including Ronnie Scott’s, 606 club, Vortex Jazz Club, Cadogan Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Love Supreme Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Wilderness Festival and many more !

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

As a jazz musician, mostly artists such as John Coltrane, Michael Brecker, Bill Evans, Charlie Parker, Theolonius Monk, Miles Davis and many others.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

My band played at Ronnie Scott’s jazz club supporting the Billy Cobham band with Randy Brecker, a hugely influential jazz band. We’ve also performed at Glastonbury festival on the worm hole stage.
