About Ben

Professional drummer, composer and teacher based in the UK. I have played hundreds of shows and have been playing for 16 years.
Ben's profile picture

I am a professional drummer, composer and teacher based in the Midlands, United Kingdom. I have played both live and in the studio for over a decade, toured around Europe and the UK numerous times and achieved an Honours Degree in Popular Music Performance. I started out playing in church at the age of 10 and have forged a career out of playing in everything I possibly could ever since, finally turning professional in 2017. I’ve played for almost every type of crowd imaginable; from tiny bars to crowds of 60,000 people, touring with both original and tribute artists alike, performing in countless stage productions and in studios - I am well versed in most musical stylings. But, I am always striving to be better. To be the best musician I can possibly be, adding composition to my musical arsenal in 2010. I combined my love of music with my love of film and drew heavily from the likes of Hans Zimmer. I have had my compositions performed and rearranged for use in theatres and I always relish a new challenge or opportunity. I have been described as “an outstanding up and coming drummer and musician,” but all I know is that I have a deep passion for drumming and all things music which I now share with my students.

Ben never fails to impress with his professionalism and work ethic. Continually surpassing expectation, Ben always rises to any challenge and executes his role to the highest standard. Whether that be simply learning a song, contributing to a composition or arrangement or recording new tracks in the studio. Having someone with such a high standard of music theory allows for progress to be made swiftly. Ben has been the making of the music we play, adding colour to each piece: no task is too big or small, and it is really comforting knowing that he can be relied upon with his consistency. I'm pleased to say that Ben has had direct involvement in the success and profitability of our group and I look forward to working with him in the future.

Ben is a fantastic young professional and displayed exemplary qualities one would find in older members of the music industry. Showcasing skills during one of my gigs [24/11/17], Ben had clearly taken time to practice his profession. Alongside being self-prepared with equipment, his charisma, punctuality and on-stage persona, Ben holds a distinct nature in his character - a genuinely lovely individual.  His calm, collective manner is only amplified by his professional nature. Any acquisition of Ben will only spearhead a production into a greater, more positive progression for the future.
