My name is Andy Owen and I am a singer/guitarist from Manchester. I have two setlists that I perform, the first is acoustic and is filled with chilled out songs such as Hold my Girl by George Ezra, Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi and Perfect by Ed Sheeran. This setlist is great for when the vive is relaxed and people want to enjoy some background music whilst having a chat or eating a meal. The second setlist includes backing tracks for all the pieces and is filled with british classics such as Wonderwall, dance floor fillers like Mr Brightside, Sing a longs like Sweet Caroline and many more. This setlist is the one I usual perform and is perfect for parties and weddings when everyone is in great spirits and wants to have a dance and a good time. I also proudly boast that I have never turned down a requested song, even when the request has been given days or even hours before arrival. I started performing gigs sparingly at the age of 16 in restaurants and small events such as village fetes local to me , since then I have come on leaps and bounds and now can proudly say that I perform over a hundred gigs a year at weddings, corporate events, parties and bars/restaurants all over the country. The highlight of my career is driving down to Welwyn Garden City to perform at my flatmate and best friends wedding, being able to be apart of her special day will be something that will always be cherished by me.

Andy was great fun at our wedding. Sang a lot of our favourites (Even did Sweet Caroline for us) and was an all round great personality

At our wedding we had a wide variety of people from young to old and Andy managed to entertain them all. He did a great mix of old school 60s material and modern tunes

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients love the upbeat vibe of my peformance along with the fact that they will know all of the songs and can sing and dance to every one. They also love how my personality comes across as Ive been complemented numerous times on my humble and friendly nature

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at all the great wedding venues in Manchester and Liverpool along with numerous great venues in Chesire and West Yorkshire. My favourite has been The Saddleworth Hotel in Manchester

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My idol is George Ezra, the fact he mixed pop and indie to create household songs is exactly what I want to do and the fact he managed to headline Glastonbury and TRNSMT inspires me. Other influences have been Lewis Capaldi, Jake Bugg and my personally favourite Tom Grennan

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The Most High Profile gig I have performed was at the Lancaster University end of year celebration. This included hopping between 3 different themed parties with what seemed like every student in the university blowing off steam

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I understand that timings can change especially for events planned months in advance. Due to this and the fact that planning is stressful enough if the timings on the day change that is fine but the charge will increase if time is added on

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes while setting up I always play a playlist to get people ready for my performance and in between sets to prevent an awkward silence. Certain venues prefer to do this themselves and that is also fine. This is free of charge

How much time do you need to set up?

I normally arrive 1 hour before my time starts, it usually only takes me 15/20 mins to set up and be ready, this may increase to 30 mins if you want lighting etc

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course, this is also the case for if any songs are not wanted at the event or if any songs are wanted that arent on the set list. The songs I perform are entirely up to you.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I do the only thing I require is space and a singular power socket

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes I can. I can proudly say I have never had to turn down a song request thats been given before the event even ones given mere hours before
