Jazz/swing pianist in The Shelbourne Hotel Dublin. I believe that upbeat piano songs is the best way to entertain your guests at any event!

Andrew has been playing piano for over 14 years, where he has completed all 8 grades through the Royal Irish Academy of Music. From this, he began learning to put a contemporary approach on some of his favourite pop songs from the radio and television. From his love of films and the music behind them, Andrew is heavily influenced by composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Thomas Newman and Zack Hemsey As of 2013, he began to showcase his unique arrangements in local restaurants and lounges, where he would perform these arrangements with a contemporary edge. Currently the resident pianist at The Shelbourne Hotel Dublin and Derry Clarke's famous l'Ecrivain Restaurant , Andrew continues to entertain guests with his jazz approach to well-known classics. He has performed for many Film/TV personalities such as Liam Neeson, Marty Whelan, Paul O Connell, Alan Hughes, Mary Byrne, Brent Pope, Brian Ormond, Vinny May and many more. As of October 2017, Andrew performed his unique arrangements for many TV3 stars and Irish TV personalities at Toyota Ireland's showcase for their new state of the art showroom in Sandyford, Dublin. Having performed in prestigious venues such as Carton House, l'Ecrivain and The Shelbourne Hotel Dublin, venues such as Dublin Airport, Luttrellstown Castle, and Swords Pavillions Centre have chosen Andrew to entertain their guests for the Christmas period. Andrew is also the brand ambassador for Precision Pianos Dublin, showcasing their stunning Grand Pianos throughout Ireland. My girlfriend and I visited the Shelbourne Hotel for supper last week where we were entertained by Andrew while we dined. His jazzy approach to songs is something that stood out as a listener, and was very comforting in the background. After our meal I had a brief chat with Andrew and he was very polite and kind, and even offered to play one of my favourite songs by Sam Smith! I will definitely be back again!

My mother held a private event where she hired Andrew to provide some background music. Throughout the night the guests were complimenting his music and how they recognised a lot of the songs. His style was perfect for the event, keeping the mood upbeat at just the right volume to still carry out a conversation. I would highly recommend Andrew for any corporate or private event in the future.
