Alice and her musicians cover music styles of the 1920s, 1940s, the swing era, Latin, 60s/70s pop, Motown and Christmas standards. Alice has an extensive repertoire. She spent 7 years working with a top UK big band and has worked with the best musicians from around the country. The band members all perform regularly on the UK jazz scene. They can provide a duo (singer and pianist) up to a sextet (singer, rhythm section, sax and trombone).

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They love the range of songs we can perform - I am quite a versatile singer and my voice lends itself well to jazz as well as pop and soul repertoire. We can cater for a wide range of ages and musical interests.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed all over the UK and abroad. Local venues have included Balfour winery in Kent, Squerreys in Westerham, Reigate Manor hotel, the Bridge House hotel. Venues in London: the Crypt restaurant, Vintners Hall, the BT tower restaurant, the RAF club. I have also sung at Her Majesty’s theatre with a big band!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Dusty Springfield, Peggy Lee, Anita O’Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Amy Whinehouse, Norah Jones

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Her Majesty’s Theatre, London / The Stables in Wavendon

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We understand that things don’t always go to plan on the day so if timings do change then we can allow for some flexibility.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we usually play background music between our sets and can offer an iPod/DJ service after our set. We usually charge £100 for this additional service.

How much time do you need to set up?

We need about an hour to set up and have a quick sound check.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes we are happy for you to choose songs from our playlist. I have a full repertoire list available.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes - we have everything we need! All we ask for is a power supply!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes I do take requests. If there is a particular song/ or songs that you would like us to play then I ask for requests a few weeks prior to the event.
