Alexander was great for our special day, he checked in with us after we booked him to speak with us and get an idea of what we liked musically and was very flexible and open to our suggestions. He delivered a lovely and heartfelt performance which our guests loved before, during and after the ceremony. We booked Alex to play as a duet (him on violin and another member of the quartet on cello) at our awards event. The music, the style and the performance fitted the occasion perfectly. Some of the attendees at the event are, let's say, slightly hard to please, but we had nothing but positive feedback. A wide repertoire and very professional (including turning up at the venue earlier in the day to check over where they were playing). Highly recommended.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

I play as part of a string duo, string trio and string quartet.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

This is usually not an issue and I always try to be as flexible as possible. If timings change slightly leading up to the event then please let me know as soon as possible.

How much time do you need to set up?

It usually takes around 15mins for me to set up. I always require a seat and somewhere to store my instrument case and coat, etc.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is always growing and if you have a specific tune or song in mind then let me know and I can look into playing it for you.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely - it's just me, an instrument, music and a music stand.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Most of the time this is not a problem. If I have to purchase an arrangement of a piece then I will pass on 50% of the cost of doing so.

What do your clients love most about your performances?
