They played at our wedding, absolutely amazing, they played everything we asked of them, and some pieces that were not on their list. Would recommend them and looking for an excuse to book again.

Alexander was absolutely spectacular. He went over and beyond to ensure we had the experience we’d always dreamed of for our wedding. Alexander was asked to play at the church before, during and after our ceremony and did not disappoint with the standard of service and song choices. He checked in with us throughout the build up to our wedding to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. We couldn’t recommend Alexander enough. Thank you so much for making our wedding ceremony so special.

We hired Alexander to perform at our wedding, leading our guests in a procession. Hiring Alexander was the best decision we made. Upon us mentioning that the procession was a traditional feature of weddings in the bride's home islands, Alexander asked if this was accompanied by any specific music, and then went out of his way to learn it, even going as far as sending recordings to check he had it right. On the day, Alexander's infectious charisma made his performance a highlight of the night. He was incredibly generous with his talents and his time, staying past the planned hour to play for our guests as they launched into a spontaneous ceilidh. We could not recommend Alexander enough!

We booked Alex to play as a duet (him on violin and another member of the quartet on cello) at our awards event. The music, the style and the performance fitted the occasion perfectly. Some of the attendees at the event are, let's say, slightly hard to please, but we had nothing but positive feedback. A wide repertoire and very professional (including turning up at the venue earlier in the day to check over where they were playing). Highly recommended.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

This is usually not an issue and I always try to be as flexible as possible. If timings change slightly leading up to the event then please let me know as soon as possible.

It usually takes around 15mins for me to set up. I always require a seat and somewhere to store my instrument case and coat, etc.

My set list is always growing and if you have a specific tune or song in mind then let me know and I can look into playing it for you.

Yes, absolutely - it's just me, an instrument, music and a music stand.
