Beginning as a pianist whilst at school, I quickly worked through all ABRSM grades and reached the diploma standard in my 3 instruments. I began my career in a small Catholic church, playing hymns on a Sunday. This quickly progressed on to being appointed director of music at Burton on Trent's parish church at only 16. At 20 I moved to Leicester to become the successful Director of Music of St. Thomas’ parish church, leading and directing the choir, whilst training the organ scholar. The choir were invited to sing evensong at Lichfield cathedral in 2018, to which they received an invitation to return. Now I am Director of St. Michael & St. Wulfad's Parish Church, Stone. I am a regular recitalist with a wealth of experience of performing in various venues. I also teach all 3 of my instruments to diploma standard.

Dear Alex, May I congratulate you on your very fine recital on Saturday. The programme, the playing, the introductions and in particular your registrations were great in every way, and you certainly gave us a good tour of the organ, and entertained ( musically) a happy audience. You had obviously put a lot of work and thought into the pieces and registrations, and it worked out perfectly.

A fantastic recital given by Alex on the 2nd October. The programme was completely suitable for the audience and the standard of playing was superb. Thank you, Alex!
