Led by Claire, a graduate in Scottish Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, this vibrant fiddle-driven ceilidh band brings an authentic slice of Scotland to your event. With seasoned musicians from Glasgow’s thriving ceilidh scene, their collective experience spans everything from BBC broadcasts to international dance festivals and more. The Band recently recorded their first EP: "Ace Thistles Ceilidh Band vol 1", which is available to stream on most major streaming platforms. They specialise in reading the room and crafting ceilidhs that capture the energy and spirit of your celebration. Their party lighting enhances the ambience and sets just the right mood. Their expert dance calling makes it easy for everyone to join in, no previous ceilidh experience required, ensuring a packed dance floor and unforgettable memories. The band are flexible in size, offering bespoke packages to suit your needs, from an intimate two-piece to a full four-piece line up. What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients feedback they particularly love our quality of music and dance calling, and friendly service.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Over the years we have played at many wedding venues across Scotland, such as Cameron House, Ross Priory, House For An Art Lover, Cruin, Arta to name a few. We have also played many more intimate venues such as local village halls, distilleries, and hotel function rooms. We have also been involved in live theatre productions.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

take their influence from the likes of John Ellis Highland Band, Deoch N Dorus, and Alisdair MacCuish Ceilidh Band. They have recently recorded their debut EP which blends contemporary Scottish melodies and trad tunes that will surely get you dancing! Streaming n Spotify

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The band have vast playing experience, performing at venues and gigs including live & pre-recorded BBC Radio Broadcasts, Celtic Connections, and prestigious balls in all parts of the world, including Balmoral Castle.

Do you have different line-up options?

The band is fiddle led with a line up including piano, accordion & drums.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we keep the atmosphere going with music from a playlist.

How much time do you need to set up?

We arrive 1 hour prior the ceilidh starting to set up.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We play from a "stage area", mostly to keep out of the ceilidh dancing area.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We are happy to discuss any requests to you have for a first dance or a disco playlist, for example. The music for dancing is primarily Scottish Ceilidh Music.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes

Can you learn song requests before the event?

The music we play for ceilidh dancing is primarily a mix of contemporary & traditional Scottish Music, which suits the style for dancing. However, we never say never...
