About !daft!

!daft! are not just a cover band. They are an event.
Wedding band
Slough
Public liability insurance of £10 million

!daft! are a Berkshire, UK based wedding, function and party cover band, established in 1996. We’re a tight 4-piece built for one thing: giving your guests a brilliant night of live music, delivered with the organisation and customer service that makes the booking process feel easy. Musically, we sit right in the sweet spot for mixed crowds. Expect rock, pop, indie and party hits and anthems from the 60s to today, performed with a high-energy live show and a set designed to keep momentum moving. From singalongs to modern floorfillers and classic anthems, we focus on the songs people actually want to hear, and we play them with the pace and feel that keeps the dancefloor busy. Experience matters when you want a great atmosphere and a smooth-running event. We perform around 60 gigs a year on average, which puts us at roughly 1,800 shows across three decades. Across those gigs we’ve performed approximately 43,000 songs. That shows up in the details: reading the room, knowing when to lift it, when to give guests space to chat, and how to land the big moments. Our most popular way to book is band plus DJ options, so your evening flows naturally from arrival to the end of the night. You get the live band for the main party sets, with DJ music to keep the energy up between sets and after the band finishes. It keeps the atmosphere consistent, avoids awkward gaps, and means you have one joined-up music plan rather than juggling separate suppliers. For weddings, we also offer an afternoon acoustic set as part of our Platinum option. It’s ideal for drinks receptions or earlier celebrations, adding a relaxed live soundtrack before the full band brings the party later on. If you want your wedding day to feel musically connected from afternoon through to the late finish, this format does it. We’re proud to be professional, easy to work with and properly prepared. You’ll get clear communication from the first message, practical guidance on timings and setup, and a calm approach on the day. If your venue has sound limitations, tight load-in access, strict schedules, or specific requirements, we’ll coordinate accordingly so everything runs smoothly. As well as private events, we’ve performed alongside Reef, Toploader, Scouting for Girls, Bill Wyman, Lightning Seeds, Kula Shaker and Urban Cookie Collective, bringing the same high-energy, professional approach to every stage we step onto. Available across the UK for weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, festivals and venues. Check availability and request a quote, and we’ll come back with clear options that fit your event.

The biggest thank you for performing at our wedding. We had the best evening possible. From start to finish, it was everything and more. Our guest couldn’t compliment you guys are more. My only negative of the night, it went way too fast and I didn’t want it to end. Thank you again!
