What do your clients love most about your performances?
Clients appreciate my ability to read the room and adapt to the crowd. I always come prepared, but I'm equally comfortable switching things up if I feel the audience will respond better to something different. I know how to get people dancing!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
I've performed at clubs and bars including Lighthouse London, Bubba Oasis and Goldsmiths Students' Union, university events, clothing events and private house parties. I've also featured on radio stations including Mode Radio, Brixton Radio and Dalston Radio.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
My musical influences span R&B, Hip-Hop and Afrobeats. Artists like Usher, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent have shaped my love for R&B and Hip-Hop, while Wizkid and Rema inspire my appreciation for the sounds and energy of Afrobeats. The list goes on!
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I'm happy to be flexible where possible if your event timings change. Just let me know as soon as you can so we can discuss any adjustments and make sure everything runs smoothly on the day. Significant changes may be subject to availability and additional charges.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes, I'm happy to provide background music before my set and during breaks, provided suitable audio equipment is available. Let me know your requirements in advance so we can arrange the best option for your event.
How much time do you need to set up?
I usually need around 30 minutes to set up and soundcheck before my performance. For larger or more complex setups, I may need a little extra time, which can be discussed in advance. I recommend having access to the setup area before the agreed performance time to ensure everything is ready to go.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
Absolutely! I'm happy to discuss your music preferences, must-play tracks and any songs you'd like me to avoid. I draw on my experience to read the crowd and keep the energy flowing, while tailoring my set to your preferences and the atmosphere you want to create.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
I bring my own DJ controller and laptop. A suitable sound system, including speakers and any lighting, will need to be provided by the venue or organiser. I'm happy to discuss your setup beforehand to ensure everything is ready for the event.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Yes! If you have specific tracks you'd like included, just let me know in advance. I'm happy to prepare these and incorporate them into my set where appropriate, ensuring the music fits the flow and atmosphere of your event.
