With many years collective music experience under their belts, Trio Grand comprises Georg Voros on drums and vocals, Paul Carter on bass and vocals, completed by Barbara Wilcox on piano and vocals, We are a completely self-contained unit and can accommodate most small to medium size function rooms, including an outdoor setup by arrangement. Our sound is versatile! Perfectly tailored for a pre-event occasion requiring low key, sophisticated background music while guests socialise and sip their cocktails, to a more upbeat experience suitable for a dinner/dance function where a cool alternative to a Pop function band is preferred. We can also provide recorded background music in between our live music sets, guaranteeing a seamless flow of great entertainment. Our ever-expanding repertoire list highlights a mix of vocal and instrumental easy listening Jazz standards, to smoky Blues, to contemporary hit songs. Whatever the function, Trio Grand is guaranteed to get your foot tapping. Georg has worked with an award-winning band and recorded on an album nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize award. Georg's extensive function band experience has seen him perform at all manner of occasions that includes being the touring drummer for the hit TV show ‘Stars In Their Eyes’. A classically trained pianist, Barbara has played and sung in bands covering a range of styles. Jazz and soul music are her passions and she is excited to bring a vibrant and sophisticated musical experience to your event. With a background in commercial music and recording, Paul has regularly performed a wide variety of musical styles and disciplines on both bass and guitar. Having discovered the joys of Jazz and Fusion in recent years, he brings all these skills together as part of a tight and exciting rhythm section.
