Tom Thiselton

I’m a Brighton-based trombonist with extensive experience performing across a range of genres and ensembles. Currently playing with bands such as Town of Cats, Brassic Parp, and Buffo’s Wake. I’ve developed a reputation for versatility, whether it’s funk, gypsy-punk, classical or pop medleys. Alongside my performing work, I teach music at Handcross Park School, sharing my passion for trombone and music with the next generation. I also spent a year as a Choral Scholar at Gloucester Cathedral, performing in services and receiving prestigious vocal training. Additionally, I’ve served as a musical director for the Sussex University Big Band and as an assistant musical director for the Sussex University Chamber Choir. Holding an ARSM Diploma in Trombone Performance, I’ve performed in theatre productions including Les Misérables and The Addams Family. I’m available for live gigs, teaching, arranging or ensemble roles
