We had an incredible experience with the band for our event. They were brilliant in responding to all our questions, and really helped in keeping the planning as simple as possible. The band arrived on time, and got themselves without any input from us. They were super friendly and personable, but most importantly got everyone up and dancing! They are very professional and great entertainers, they did not miss a single beat, and have a brilliant range in their repertoire to keep audiences of all ages enjoying themselves. Thank you so much for everything and I hope we get the opportunity to have you play for us again!

The band were fabulous. The Fifty 4 played 2 sets and the party crowd were up and dancing. Very professional and made my party go with a swing!!

We managed to secure The Fifty 4 four days before our 30th birthday party and I’m so glad we did. They were amazing! They looked fantastic, sang fantastic and just had everyone up on the dance floor. Their songs were classic party songs with a range of well known songs. We couldn’t have asked for a better band. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much 💜

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We are greatly influenced by Chic and Nile Rogers butwe are inspired by all 70s disco including artists such as Sister Sledge, Kool & The Gang, ABBA, Earth Wind & Fire and many more. We also like to branch out into more modern influences to cater for the wider audience at your events. This would include artists such as Will Smith, Dua Lipa, Jamiroquai etc.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We recently performed on the 'Under The Treas stage at Victorious Festival in Southsea, Portsmouth.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes. Our standard line up is our 6 piece option which includes 2 vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass and drums. We also come as a 5 piece with 1 vocalist, 3 piece with piano, guitar and vocals or can provide a solo singer with backing tracks.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know. Please note that timing changes can impact arrival, set up and finish times which can sometime require a change in our fee but we will do our best to avoid charging you extra!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we offer an unmanned DJ between sets as standard. If you require an unmanned DJ after we finish performing we offer an unmanned DJ which you can select as an add on when booking.

How much time do you need to set up?

We can set up in as little as an hour, but we recommend allowing us 90 minutes to set up and complete a full sound check.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, a full PA and lighting is provided as standard with the band. If the even is 500+ people and you require us to provide a PA this may require an additional fee so we can supply a sound system suited to the event size.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. For weddings, we are more than happy to learn your first dance and perform this for you. This will need to be agreed prior to booking.
