DUSK was formed in the Autumn of 2013 at the Royal College of Music in London as a unique collaboration of saxophone and harp. Intrigued by their own diverse musical backgrounds as well as the mystique of simple, transformative textures, Anna and Zach have explored styles ranging from the passionate Nuevo Tango of Astor Piazzolla, to the undulating motifs of Claude Debussy, to new takes on jazz standards such as Miles Davis’ So What. The duo was received warmly at its debut international concert in Barcelona, Spain, where a sold-out venue beckoned a tango encore. Recent projects include recording Piazzolla’s Le Grand Tango, Oblivion, and Libertango as part of the TANGO|GROVE initiative. The duo looks forward to commissioning works, and planning further international appearances.
