Soul Occupants are a professional six-piece live band delivering upbeat, funky and soulful music that gets people dancing. Featuring powerful female lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and percussion, we perform a carefully selected repertoire of instantly recognisable hits from across the decades, bringing together soul, funk, disco, pop and party classics to create an atmosphere that appeals to everyone from the youngest guests to the grandparents. We have been performing together as Soul Occupants for seven years, while our musicians bring decades of combined experience performing in live function bands. We pride ourselves on outstanding musicianship, professional performance and, most importantly, making sure our audiences have a great time. Every event is different, so we don't simply turn up and play the same setlist. We'll work with you to tailor our sets around your favourite songs, musical tastes and the atmosphere you want to create. Whether you're looking for sophisticated soul and funk early in the evening or a packed dance floor later on, we'll shape the music to suit your event. If you're looking for an even bigger sound, we can also add a three-piece brass section of saxophone, trumpet and trombone, taking the band to a nine-piece live experience. We provide everything you need for the performance, including professional PA, microphones, amplification, instruments and lighting. We can also create a playlist around your musical preferences to provide music before, between and after our live sets, ensuring the atmosphere keeps flowing throughout the evening. For weddings, we're also happy to learn and perform your first-dance song at no extra charge, provided it's suitable for our vocalist. Above all, we're professional, reliable and easy to deal with, while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
