I am passionate about performing. I do it because I love it, and I am told that it shows. I have been performing since the age of 15. I still use the guitar I bought when I was 17. It has been to every gig I have done since. I have spent the last few years putting together nearly 100 tracks of Pop, Rock and Blues that will have the dance floor full, or if it's a more formal event, toes tapping. Because I am a solo act I can typically learn new songs fast so if there's something you want sung live at your event I can probably do that for you. Over the years I have performed at all sorts of events from Private Parties, to Weddings, Festivals to Corporate Events, to Pubs and Clubs. I believe entertainment should be fun and I aim to deliver that while remaining professional. Exceeding customer's expectations is what I love to do and I very much enjoy seeing folk happy and, hopefully they become raving fans.

I have great pleasure in writing this review for Jules Cooper. I chanced upon Jules’s details where he was listed as Slow Hand Jules, while looking for new artists to perform at the Jolly Miller. He performs either as a solo artist or as a duo with Hannah (Junah Live Music). Slow Hand Jules, and Junah Live Music have performed twice at the pub and they are a hit with the customers, so much so that they have been asked to perform at 1 of our customer's wedding. As a publican, there are two aspects to every act we hire, communication and performance. In both activities Jules is outstanding. He regularly keeps me informed regarding start times and materials for the event. As a performer, he is a true showman. He engages the audience and keeps them entertained. Jules has a large repertoire of fast-paced music which holds the audience's attention from the classics to more current songs. He can tailor the evening's entertainment to the audience's mood.

What an amazing afternoon. Thank you to Slow Hand Jules for a fantastic gig. We organised a garden party in August with SHJ which could not go ahead so we rescheduled to have it for my Daughters 21st Birthday. SHJ were really flexible and supportive and couldn't do enough to help. On the day itself SHJ arrived and the set up is so professional, but also very friendly and personal. What a fantastic performance. They tailored a playlist of all my favourites and performed brilliantly. Thank you. You are fantastic and will be booking you again x

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients love my attention to detail, communication and showmanship. I am willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone have a fabulous time. This is why I get re booked by venues up to 20 times.

I have a wide taste in music and take my influences from many places but my top contenders are Gary Moore, The Cult, Duran Duran and Billy Idol.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Best attended - Lady's Mile - 300-400. High Profile - Under a Summers Moon Festival Most Fun - Private party for 21st bday in Bournemouth.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I aim to be as flexible as I can be to allow your event to run smoothly. If times change just let me know, and I will always do my best to accommodate your changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes of course. I do this as a matter of course.

How much time do you need to set up?

Typical set up and sound check time for a new to me venue is about 1.5 hours. Once set up and sound checked I can provide a free playlist service to set the atmosphere prior to my live perfomance.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from many performances and learning what works best for specific events so that your guests have an amazing time. I'm more than happy for you to pick up to 6 numbers from my extensive playlist for me to include in the set lists. As listed in "Add Ons" I'm also willing to learn a specific number for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely. I bring all eat equipment required to perform to around 150 people. I am more than willing to perform to more than 150 but this will require hiring in additional PA speakers which will be charged per specific event.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes - please see Add Ons. These are charged individually.
