What do your clients love most about your performances?

The most consistent praise that we receive is that our show has something for everyone. We draw from a lot of different musical genres that span not only many styles but also many decades. But what really sets us apart is that we include a generous helping of even very contemporary music that most people don't expect from a live cover band.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Accepted Answer

Strathmore Civic Center, Carefree Resort on Glenniffer Lake,  King's Head pub, Rendesvouz Metropolitan Lounge, The Drake in Canmore, The Venue in Cochrane, Brickwell Bar, Waterloo Kitchen, Macleod's Pub, the Winkin' Owl, Glitch Gaming Centre in Airdrie, Big Al's music bar, the Calgary Italian Club.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Oooh no you don't! That's a gotcha question! We enjoy them all - depends on your mood.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Accepted Answer

Highest profile was probably the Carefree Resort on Glenniffer Lake. A lot of affluent people holiday at that resort and noticed us for the first time there... it generated a referral to a music club owner who is an owner at the resort, who in turn demanded his booking agent to take us on so we could play in his clubs, spawning into more word of mouth shows.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Alysia-Marie-Bailey is the star of our show and the primary center-stage talent. All of our live performances revolve around her for the foreseeable future - however, in the unlikely unthinkable event that we must temporarily replace her, we are all members of a larger community of very capable performers and musicians that step in as ready under-studies.

Do you have different line-up options?

Accepted Answer

We are a band of 4 musicians (Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums) and one primary vocalist. Occasionally we are capable of augmenting our show with an additional guitarist, or a horn or saxaphone player, or a second lead vocalist to compliment, harmonize, and duet with Alysia. In these circumstances the band may grow from 5 to 6, 7, or 8 players at a time.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Availability dates are secured by partial customer deposits to ensure we can reserve over 1 year in advance. Dates can  change or cancel with a full refund up to 120 days prior to the event.  Once the 4 month threshold is crossed your deposit is non-refundable as it will be too late to replace that lost date in our schedule.

Question 8

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, certainly - in most cases this is a service we can include at no additional cost (depending on the agreed contract rates).

Question 9

How much time do you need to set up?

Accepted Answer

This is contingent on the type of event and prior access to the venue. At a wedding for example, setup 3 hours prior to curtain would be a distraction to your beautiful reception dinner and speeches. We will work with you to plan load-in and sound check on a convenient and practical timeline that is mutually agreeable and contractually recorded.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We are happy to decide on some must-have moments with you in advance, but knowing how to craft the flow of the show is what we do best. Some live bands are ok with working like a glorified jukebox, but that method will not produce the full Sirens' Gate party experience.

Question 11

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Accepted Answer

Our stage and sound accessories make up a large portion of how we determine the appropriate pricing for your event. The answer to the question can change from case to case, but YES, know that we always CAN include as much or as little production service as  is requested or required for the type and size of event.

Question 12

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Accepted Answer

There is a very high likelihood that we can learn a song request before the event if we are given enough notice. We try to include this as part of our full private event service, and this was eluded to when i mentioned that we are happy to decide on some "must-have moments" - like a special song at just the right certain time.
