Sara Leanne is a professional singer and pianist specialising in jazz, blues, folk and soul music. She has performed at venues throughout the UK and further afield, including The Beacon Theater (Broadway, NYC), The Other Palace (West End, London), and Matt & Phred’s Jazz Club (Manchester). In 2022, Sara launched her own jazz and blues ensemble, Smoke & Honey, performing music from Ella Fitzgerald to Norah Jones at jazz bars, weddings and private events across the UK. Sara also directs a number of vocal ensembles, from professional London-based group ‘VERSA’ to community choirs at Band on the Wall in Manchester, and she has received multiple international awards for her vocal arrangements for ensembles throughout the UK, Europe and North America.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be as flexible as possible before and during an event, to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. If timings do change, please just let me know and I'll check my schedule.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I am more than happy to play background music through my PA in between sets. This is included in my fee. If you require me to stay after my performance has finished, this will incur an extra fee on a case by case basis.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually require between 30 minutes and 1 hour (depending on the venue / event) to set-up and soundcheck.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course! As long as the piano is in good working condition and has been tuned recently.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

I usually work with clients to fashion a set list that we are both happy with and excited about! Equally, I'm more than happy to pick a set list myself that is tailored towards your event, if you'd prefer not to worry about it.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, absolutely! I own a Nord Piano 5, one of the leading industry electric pianos on the market.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I offer up to 3 song requests per event. If you'd like to choose more songs, this will incur a small extra fee. Please get in touch and we can chat further!
