An award-winning mixed voice a cappella group based in Oxford who perform our own arrangements of songs ranging from upbeat pop, funk and soul to chilled folk and jazz. Together since 2012, we specialise in providing uplifting harmonies with a splash of tongue-in-cheek humour, leaving audiences with a smile on their face. We create our own arrangements and use no equipment, so we are extremely flexible in performance - we take requests for tailor-made arrangements of your favourite songs, or flash-mob performances etc, etc...

The Beetroots were great. They have amazing voices and fitted in and made our evening. They came all the way from Oxford to Sussex and still full of energy to give us an amazing night. The signing was a perfect fit to our evening thank you.

The Beatroots are a group of excellent a cappella arrangers and singers who are a delight to listen to and work with. In 2019, I had the pleasure of working with them for a singing event at a science festival in Oxford where medical research scientists told stories about their research to the tune of popular songs. The Beatroots wrote new a cappella arrangements for them, and we sang them together at the performance. Throughout the project, they were professional, and so kind and generous with their time, going beyond what I had expected: suggesting ways to improve the lyrics, including playful sounds and choreography to improve the performance of each story-song, and helping the scientists overcome their fear of performing as soloists, rather than part of a large choir. The feedback from the audience was overwhelmingly positive and demonstrated that they had genuinely engaged with the scientific content embedded in the playful, upbeat music. I hope to make it to one of their concerts again soon, and would love to work with them again in the future.

The Beatroots are a fantastically talented, Oxford based A Capella group. The songs they sing are beautifully arranged and cleverly crafted. Their harmonies are superbly composed and a delight to hear. Listening to this group is always uplifting, often amusing and above all highly entertaining. Their musicality ‘wowed’ the festival revellers at my annual music festival last year. Highly recommended.
