Úna Shea

Currently studying violin under Cerys Jones at RWCMD, Connecticut born Una Shea looks for new opportunities to bring music to many communities. While living in the states, she was an integral member and student leader of the Vivace String Ensemble through the Suzuki Music School of Westport and led her orchestra at The Loomis Chaffee School. She also participated in the Connecticut Youth Symphony as well as the Connecticut Northern Regional Youth Orchestra and now is a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. Now based in Vienna and Cardiff, she is beginning to take special interest in chamber music playing and is a founding member of her string quartet at RWCMD. She also particularly enjoys participating in the crafting of new musical works and jumps at the opportunity to work alongside the composers at RWCMD to make their musical visions become reality.
