Muse en Lystrala

A classically trained mezzo-soprano whose voice has been described as "golden," "dark," "haunting," and "powerful," Muse en Lystrala principally specializes in German and English art songs and arias. She has sung at a number of public events including the Freddy Ingleton Honorary Recital at SUNY Schenectady, the Empire Game Expo, and with the London Classical Choir in "Songs About Time." With a wide range of experience in both the classical and game industries, she has performed in numerous recitals and concerts as well as having composed and performed a number of video game soundtracks for several studios including Omiya Games, Ruckus Games, and Superset Interactive. Muse composes and performs experimental electronica with dark ambient project Lightray, and classical and folk with Paganfolk project Umbra Oceania. She has studied music at various institutions including Rhode Island College and SUNY Schenectady, and is the recipient of several scholarships including the Freddy Ingleton Music Scholarship and the Women's Fund of the Capital Region Scholarship. Muse also serves as the in-house composer at Queenship Game Studio and Triplecast Games. Now residing in Edinburgh, Muse plays, sings, and composes with and for the Composer's Orchestra of the University of Edinburgh, and is at work with the university to relaunch Geek Musica, an ensemble performing classical music from video games, films, and television, in 2024. Continuing to sing, play, and compose for several projects, she can occasionally be heard singing arias and art songs at one of Edinburgh's many open air markets.
