About Komorebi

Beautiful instrumental duo playing Scottish/Irish folk music. Experienced touring internationally, and playing 30+ weddings between us!
Celtic folk band
Edinburgh
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Hi! We are a duo from Edinburgh Scotland, featuring Siannie Moodie on clarsach and Cameron Newell on fiddle. Our band name ‘Komorebi’, is the Japanese word for light dappling through leaves, which is an image we aspire to evoke through their music. We have developed our craft through years of dedicated playing and performing, building a wealth of experience across live music, events and weddings. Together, and individually, we have performed in a wide variety of settings, from intimate gatherings and concert halls to festivals and large celebrations. In 2026, we took our music further afield with a tour of Japan, sharing our Celtic music with audiences internationally. Other performance highlights this year include Knockengorrich Festival and sell out show at Findhorn Universal Hall. Weddings and Events: Our harp and fiddle combination is perfectly suited to the atmosphere of a weddings and events, offering something elegant and distinctive for the ceremony, a relaxed soundtrack for drinks and photographs, or lively Celtic tunes to get guests into the spirit of the celebration. With experience performing at more than 30 weddings between us, we understand the importance of being flexible, reliable and attentive to the flow of the day. We can create a gentle, romantic atmosphere when the moment calls for it, then bring energy and character to the celebrations afterwards.
