Jordan Murray has been on the local music scene for over 20 years. As well as playing regular bar gigs in Edinburgh, he has honed his craft playing gigs with his band all over Europe and performing at 1000's of weddings and events. With his extensive song list and versatile style of playing, Jordan is able to capture any audience in any setting. Backed by his band ‘Jordan Murray & The Pluckers’ they have created a huge, electrifying and lively sound that has raised the bar and elevated the live music experience! The band is made up of extremely experienced musicians who all have a genuine passion for their instruments and a constant strive in bettering themselves with every performance. This passion also crosses over to the equipment they use, the booking process, the planning communication for your event, down to how they carry themselves at your event - nothing but professionalism. Comprising of powerful vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitars, bass guitar, drums and tracking, the band has created a unique sound not often heard at weddings or corporate events. Still with all the usual bangers you'd expect to hear but with the cheese removed!

We can’t thank Jordan & Jordan Murray & the Pluckers band enough! From our first contact with them they couldn’t have been more accommodating, friendly & professional, and we were so grateful for their flexibility with our last minute planning! Their set list is so versatile, they were very happy to learn our first dance, they give so many flexible options for sets, threw in some ceilidh dances & led on that, as well as doing our last hour playing songs we put on a playlist as requested. Everything you could possibly want for your day & evening entertainment, these guys do. Jordan played at our drinks reception after the ceremony & we had so many people saying how great he was, and we loved hearing it whilst enjoying our day. The band in the evening also nailed the vibe & played all of our favourites! And they come with a disco ball🪩 After many years spent on the Finnegan’s dance floor, it felt so perfect having them playing at our wedding. So many compliments on both the day & evening music & we are so glad we went with them. All genuinely lovely guys! Thank you so so much!✨

Jordan played during our wedding day in August 2025, both solo and with the band. From the first enquiry Jordan was friendly, punctual and professional. Throughout our day Jordan and his band were absolutely incredible, we could not of wished for any better. Our guests were blown away and our dance floor was never empty! We would recommend to anyone, and cannot quite thank Jordan and the band enough!!

Best of Both 4 musicians4 hours

The band set will cover 3 hours of music from 8 till 11pm with one single break from 9:30pm. We will play back ground music from our sound system on the break. From 11pm - midnight for the last hour we would then switch to our Virtual DJ set. This is great if there is songs, you'd like to hear that a band wouldn't necessarily play. You're more than welcome to send over a list of songs for this or we can read the room on the night. The evening band is made up of myself on vocals & guitar joined with bass guitar, electric guitar, drums and tracks. For the evening set we always aim to start loading in and setting up 1.5 hours prior to your first dance starting at 8pm. We offer to learn your first dance song at no extra cost, if it's one we're not familiar with we would just need to check it out first and if we feel it wouldn't be one we could learn, we would then suggest playing the original MP3, unless you would already like the original MP3 played anyway. Don't worry though, there's no rush for this and we can decide closer to the date!

We like to think we bring the whole package when it comes to your wedding or event! But past clients always comment on the bands energy, our musicianship, the songs we play, the sound and lighting and even the disco ball - all go hand in hand together and we believe it's what sets us apart from most other wedding bands.

As a band we like many artists and genres. You'll see from our song list that we have quite an eclectic mix of songs that we play.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We're a wedding band, every wedding is equally special and "high profile" to us!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes! You'll always have Jordan singing!

Do you have different line-up options?

No, we only offer our 4 piece line up which comprises of: Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Drums and Tracking.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We always provide music through our sound system during our breaks.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to provide our song list ahead of time to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes - we provide very high quality lighting and PA included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Due to the number of weddings we perform we only offer to learn 1 song outwith our song list. This is typically your first dance song.
