About Jesse

Jesse Doniach: First class graduate of Trinity Laban, a pianist with international experience offering exceptional technique and creativity.
Pianist
London
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Hailing from Hackney, East London, pianist Jesse Doniach is quickly emerging as one of the foremost young voices in London’s vibrant jazz scene. Inspired to pursue music as a teenager by double bassist Paul Moylan and fueled by an early captivation with the music of Thelonious Monk, Jesse went on to secure a place at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. Under the mentorship of Liam Noble and Hans Koller, he graduated with first-class honors in 2021. During this period, he spent a year at the Conservatoire de Paris, culminating in the opportunity to perform alongside internationally acclaimed musicians Aaron Parks and Kurt Rosenwinkel following a masterclass series. At just 25, Jesse has already accumulated a breadth of performing experience, both around the UK and internationally. This includes performing at venues such as the Vortex jazz club, Electric Brixton, Milos Jazz festival in Greece, and most notably the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in 2023. He has performed alongside notable musicians such as: Byron Wallen, Rachel Cohen, Jasmine Myra and Cosmo Pyke. As well as this, Jesse has hosted multiple residencies across London and has a working relationship with Blüthner Pianos. Growing up in the vibrant and diverse musical landscape of East London, Jesse’s love of jazz extends to urban music such as grime and garage. He works actively with producers, as well as making music of his own in these soundscapes. Complimenting this has been his portfolio of teaching roles. This has included 1:1 lessons, running jazz workshops and creative ensembles delivered across various high schools in London.

Jesse and his trio really was the perfect accompaniment to our event at Chequers House. Not only were they incredibly accomplished musicians, playing varied and thoughtful repetoire, but their warmth and charm with the guests really seperated them from other musicians we've hired in the past. A++++++

Jesse and his quartet provided the perfect atmosphere to our event. Clearly all very accomplished musicians with an extensive repertoire - they played multiple requests from the audience ranging from jazz classics to some 80s hits. Very punctual and professional on top of this. Will be booking again in the future for sure.
