Jack Perrett is an indie singer-songwriter from Newport, South Wales, known for his raw, melodic take on modern indie rock. He released his debut EP What You Saying? in 2015 with Estrons producer Steffan Pringle, earning early support from BBC Radio Wales. His single Like A Fever saw him tipped as ‘Big in 2019’ by Fred Perry Subculture, while This Feeling called it a ‘high class indie banger’. The track gained national airplay across BBC Radio 1 (Huw Stephens), BBC 6 Music (Chris Hawkins) and Radio X (John Kennedy, Gordon Smart). That momentum led to standout festival appearances at Isle of Wight and The Great Escape, as well as a major support slot personally chosen by Paul Weller at Singleton Park, Swansea in 2022. Now performing regularly across the UK, Jack delivers energetic acoustic sets packed with indie anthems and crowd-pleasing classics, alongside his own original material.

Jack played at my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary and was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He created such a great atmosphere and had everyone really enjoying themselves. What made it even more special was that he helped us write a song to celebrate the occasion, which was such a personal touch and something we’ll always remember. It meant a lot to us and our guests loved it too. Couldn’t recommend Jack highly enough – professional, talented, and genuinely goes the extra mile to make your event unforgettable.

We had Jack play at our wedding back in 2017 and he was incredible from the moment he started. For our first dance, he performed If I Had A Gun by Noel Gallagher and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect – such a special moment that we’ll never forget. After that, the dancefloor was full all night. He judged the room perfectly and kept everyone up dancing, which is exactly what we wanted. So many of our guests commented on how good he was. If you’re looking for someone who can make your day feel really personal but also get a proper party going, Jack is the one. Couldn’t recommend him more.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

A mix of indie anthems and crowd-pleasing classics that get people singing. I read the room well, build the atmosphere, and keep things lively while still being professional and easy to work with.

I’ve played extensively across South Wales and beyond, including pubs, weddings and festivals such as Isle of Wight and The Great Escape, as well as supporting Paul Weller at Singleton Park, Swansea.

Oasis, The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, The La’s, Paul Weller and The Smiths – shaping a melodic, indie-driven sound with strong singalong moments.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem – I’m flexible and understand plans can change. Just let me know as early as possible and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes – I can provide background music before, between and after my sets to keep things flowing. This can be added to your booking for an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually need around 30 minutes to set up and soundcheck. I aim to arrive in plenty of time to make sure everything is ready and running smoothly before the performance.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes – you’re welcome to choose a few favourites from my set list in advance. I’ll then build the rest of the set around them to suit the atmosphere and keep things flowing on the night.
