HUMBUG are an award winning Cheshire based guitar, vocals and keyboards covers duo. We sound different to most others as we play all live, absolutely no instrument backing tracks but don't be fooled as we have a big band sound that will get everybody up and partying. With an ever increasing repertoire of mostly modern lively numbers we have played many types of venues from wedding receptions, social clubs and pubs. We may be duo but have a full band sound and are a self contained little gigging machine with our own PA & lights and can offer sets in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit your function or event.

Humbug Duo, consisting of Stu and Chrissie, delivered an outstanding performance at the 14th SWC Scouts Summer Fair. Their musical synergy was impressive, with Chrissie skillfully playing the guitar and singing while Stu added depth with harmonies and the synthesizer. The choice of live covers created an engaging atmosphere that resonated with the audience, making for a delightful experience. Their energy and talent brought a wonderful vibe to the event, and it's clear that they are passionate about their music. There’s such a connection between these two. We had this AMAZING band for our private wedding party last night; and they were brilliant! All our guests absolutely loved them and we cannot thank them enough. If you are ever looking for a band to play they are amazing and we can highly recommend them! They play all walks of music whether this is older songs to newer. Stu is so musically talented and Chrissie is a truly amazing singer with so much confidence! If you haven't already done so already, get these guys booked we certainly had the BEST night! Thank you Humbug!!!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients are normally surprised by the fullness and quality of our sound and cannot believe that we don't used backing tracks. We are often complimented on our choice of tracks and praised for providing something a little different.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed at various private and public events, in the Cheshire and Staffordshire area, including Wedding receptions, Festivals, Social Clubs, Beer Gardens, Charity events and dedicated music venues,

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Anything from ABBA to Wham

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

The duo will perform as seen in our videos. However, if a band member were to fall ill we would endeavour to provide a 'dep' as required.

Do you have different line-up options?

We are a duo consisting of Keys, Guitar, Vocals and Backing Vocals. All drums are created live during the proformace to give that full band sound.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service whether there is a playlist you already have or we could provide one for you.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and understanding what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 4m(wide) by 2m(deep) space to perform due to the large keyboard we use.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We can't do requests on the night but if a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn and we feel we could do it justice we would be happy to do this for you.
