Christina Thaler

Christina has completed her studies in singing at the Ljubljana Academy of Music with professor Barbara Jernejčič Furst. Allthough the academy does not offer a baroque course, she has been able to focus almost exclusively on performing Renaissance and Baroque music. Her voice has been described as "immaculate" (Delo newspaper, review of L'Orfeo) and "clear, pure and agile" (Tomaž Gržeta, Glasna magazine) She frequently attends seminars on early music at Radovljica (most notably with Emma Kirkby) and Berlin (Charlotte Lehmann, Mark Tucker, Egon Mihajlovič) and Dartington International Summer School (Emma Kirkby, Andrew Watts, Laurence Cummings). she is currently enrolled in a one year post grad course specialising in Baroque music at the JGU Mainz Music college (Musikhochschule), where she is tutored by renowned artists such as Andreas Scholl, Konrad Junghanel etc.
