Spanish saxophonist Francisco Sanchez studied at Conservatorio Superior de Música in Badajoz (Spain) and postgraduated at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he was laureate with 1st prizes in the Wind Orchestra Concerto competition (2014), the Governors Recital Prize for Woodwind (2015), for Chamber Music (2016) and winner of the Mary D Adams award for Chamber Music as member of the Makaris Quartet. Currently, He is doing a Master of Chamber Music specialised in saxophone quartet. He has been active student in masterclasses with renowned saxophonist such as Jean-Marie Londeix, Marie Bernadette Charrier, Mario Marzi, Arno Bornkamp, Andres Gomis, Pedro Iturralde, David Alonso,Jorge Rafael Gomez and Kyle Horch, . Sanchez has been member of Lux Contemporanea, Iberian Big Band and Gelos duo and has performed in internationals festivals the Cumnock Tryst Festival (Scotland), III-VI editions of “Contemporary Music Festival of Badajoz” (Spain) and IV International Festival of Saxophone in Palmela (Portugal) and performed with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Amadeus Orchestra among others. As soloist, He has appeared several times with the RCS Wind Orchestra playing the "Ballade" for alto saxophone and orchestra by Henri Tomasi and "Lokk frå den Grøne Øya" for tenor saxophone and wind orchestra by Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen.
