Mark Christian Bautista

Filipino tenor Mark Christian Bautista is a distinguished prizewinner in international vocal competitions, including the Dean & Chadlington Festival Singing Competition, Emmy Destinn Young Singers Award, and Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. He was a finalist at the XX Certamen Nuevas Voces in Seville, K-GAGOK Superstar in Seoul, and a semi-finalist at the Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition in San Marino. An alumnus of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Opera Course under Professor Susan Waters, Mark has performed across the UK, Europe, and Asia—including appearances at Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera, Royal Albert Hall, Seoul Lotte Concert Hall, KBS Hall, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines. His repertoire spans the Baroque, Bel canto, and Romantic traditions, with forays into contemporary American operas. As a member of the Glyndebourne Chorus and soloist for its Summer and Autumn Festivals, he continues to build a vibrant international career. He was a recipient of numerous scholarships, including the International Opera Awards Foundation Bursary.
