Eduardo Andrade

Mexican composer and Pianist, studies composition in London at the Royal College of Music with Alison Kay and composition for screen with Enrica Sciandrone. He is holder of a Clifton Parker Award and RCM Award. He won first place in the National Claudio Herrera Competition in 2010, the Ollin Yoliztli National Youth Piano Competition in 2006 and 2008, and the Yamaha Christmas Composition Contest in 2002. He started his musical studies at age four in Yamaha Academy of Music in Mexico City. He has also studied in Superior School of Music, Superior Institute of Music of Veracruz as well as abroad in Austrian Master Classes with Gianfranco Sannicandro and Georg Steinschaden. He has received piano lessons from Mauricio Náder, Farizat Tchibirova, Guadalupe Parrondo, Gustavo Rivero and Kathron Sturrock. Composition with Leonardo Coral and Humberto Hernandez-Medrano. Eduardo Andrade has been soloist with Xalapa Symphony Orchestra and State of Mexico Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has performed in Ollin Yoliztli and Silvestre Revueltas concert halls and given solo recitals in the Cycle of Young Artists of the National Institute of Fine Arts in MUNAL and Diego Rivera Museum. He has recorded a disc for benefit of Mexico’s Children Hospital which includes one of his compositions. He has appeared in the television program of Armando Manzanero and composed the introductory music to two radio programs broadcasted by ABC radio Mexico. He is also member of Aeon Duo. His music has been performed in Mexico, the United Kingdom and Finland in venues such as Royal College of Music and National Portrait Gallery.
