As Mayor of Kenilworth I booked the Danger! Ceilidh Band for my Civic Reception. The band went above and beyond, both in terms of helping to organise the evening and their brilliant performance. Everyone had a fantastic time, and it was definitely an evening to remember. Highly recommend!

A fantastic evening of ceilidh dancing was had by all at our Civic Reception, including those who had resolved not to dance (although most did later on!). The music was toe-tappingly wonderful and the calling was so upbeat and infectious that we all soon learned the routines and were whirling and galloping before we knew it! Huge thanks to Adam for all of the prep that he put into the event beforehand to understand our needs and budget, to make best use of the venue and to deliver a truly memorable and enjoyable evening.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Lively, enthusiastic musicians who smile and are clearly enjoying themselves! We tend to bounce about a bit, which can be infectious :O)

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Numerous private wedding events at a range of venues from converted barns to marquees. The Swan (Royal Shakespeare Company), Stratford. Numerous folk festivals.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

In the vein of the question, probably playing to the good people of Stratford-upon-Avon for Shakespeare’s birthday celebrations. However, high profile and bling don’t concern us anywhere near as much as knowing our clients and guests are enjoying themselves.

Can you perform covers?

Normally, no. Please include any specific requests when contacting us for a quotation.

Do you have different line-up options?

We are a 6 piece band (5 musicians and 1 ceilidh caller). Most members of the Danger! Ceilidh Band are multi-instrumentalists so we can make some adjustments to the instruments in our line-up.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We understand that timings can change and can be flexible within reason, e.g. an hour or two here and there is usually fine.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, yes. This is usually done by the client sharing a Spotify playlist with us before the event, and played through our PA system. Background music during breaks in ceilidh dancing is included at no cost. Additional timings can be quoted for on a case-by-case basis, so please include details in your quotation request.

How much time do you need to set up?

We require 1 hour set-up time. This includes 5 - 10 minutes to soundcheck.

Do you provide a caller?

Yes. Erin Mansfield is the resident caller of the Danger! Ceilidh Band.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Specific tune or dance requests are welcome. Please include details in your quotation request.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Provision of all PA equipment is included in our quotation. As a 6 piece we require a minimum floor/stage space of 5 x 3 m. We may be able to work in smaller spaces on a case-by-case basis, please mention this in your quotation request.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

As a ceilidh band we do not perform 'songs'. Specific dances or dance tunes can be requested, and this normally at no extra cost. Please include details in your quotation request.
