The band were fantastic and efficient at setup, played our first dance music through their system and then were amazing throughout the evening providing a variety of dances suited to everyone's ability. A number of our guests commented how fun and professional the dance was for everyone.

The Cumberland Ceilidh Band helped our event to be a wonderful night. They were helpful with everything, flexible with timings etc and had a wonderful musical repertoire. They were patient when we got the moves wrong and had a great sense of humour. We had so many comments about how great the band were and we are so glad that we booked them. Thank you so much!

Can you perform covers?

Unfortunately we don't perform covers. We specialise in ceilidh music only.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our regular line up is a 3-piece of accordion, fiddle and drums, one of which doubles as a caller. We can add or take away players if necessary.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know and we will do our best to be accommodating.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we can play your playlist, or ours, through our PA system before the ceilidh or in any breaks during the event. Any additional use of the PA beyond the agreed timings of the ceilidh will incur an additional charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually aim to arrive 1 hour before the ceilidh starts to allow us ample time to set up and sound check.

Do you provide a caller?

Yes, we always provide a caller for the dances. Usually this is one of our musicians doubling as a caller.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Clients often request specific dances! If you'd like a particular dance at your event, let us know in advance and we'll do our best to prepare it for you if it is not one that's in our repertoire.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Yes, our quote includes the use of all PA and equipment for the agreed timings of the ceilidh. Any use of the equipment beyond the agreed timings will incur an additional charge.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If you'd like a specific dance that is not in our repertoire let us know in advance of the event and we will gladly do our best to prepare it for you. If you'd like a particular piece of music (e.g wedding first dance) let us know and we'll look into it!
