Aleksandra is a London-based freelance flautist. Her professional experience ranges from classical to folk, jazz and world music.

Aleksandra is a flautist and winner of many awards and prizes, including The Musicians’ Company Lambert Scholarship, Patricia Prindl Prize and The Countess of Munster Derek Butler Award. As a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician she has performed at some of Europe’s most famous concert halls including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin and the Royal Albert Hall. Her musical training had began at the age of seven and by the age of nine she received a City of Szczecin Artist Scholarship, the highest accolade in her region. After graduating from Feliks Nowowiejski School of Music in 2010 Aleksandra moved to Glasgow to commence her undergraduate studies with Alison Mitchell and Katherine Bryan at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During her time in Scotland she took part in many ensemble and orchestral projects, including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra Sinfonietta project which culminated in recording and broadcast of works by Stravinsky on BBC Radio Scotland and side-by-side project with Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra and Gustavo Dudamel. She was also a member of an award-winning wind quintet Athenaeum Winds, a group that had been selected for the 2012-2014 Enterprise Music Scotland Residency and made appearances at many festivals and venues, including Music in Tuscany, Cottiers’ Chamber Project, Westbourne and Skye Chamber Music. Aleksandra continued her studies at the Royal College of Music in London with Daniel Pailthorpe, Gareth Davies, Celia Chambers and Simon Channing and she received her Master of Performance with Distinction degree in 2016. Since then Aleksandra has been enjoying a busy freelance career, giving solo and chamber music recitals at venues such as King’s Place and Southbank Centre, as well as working with orchestras nationally and internationally, including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra (Germany), Arensky Chamber Orchestra and The NGF Orchestra (Italy). She has also had the pleasure to take the Principal Flute seat at a Gala concert with singers from Opera Australia at Buckingham Palace, organised by Prince Charles in 2015.

Aleksandra performed in a performance of Bach's St John Passion in East Sussex. She was completely professional throughout, prompt in her responses, and her playing was superb. Aleksandra was a joy to work with, and I would be delighted to book her again in the future.
