Julia has been a staple performer at The Corset Club fort almost a year now- at first I hired her for our opening night and have kept her on a weekly saturday night spot ever since. Julia's powerhouse voice and charming personality have captured audiences and filled the venue with guests who come to see her every week. I can't recommend her enough.

Julia is a WONDERFUL and TALENTED singer who made our wedding even more special and unique. She sang a mixture of requested songs for me and my maid of honour while we were getting ready for the ceremony. This made the atmosphere very relaxing and enjoyable. It also took away all the stress and added a little bit of fun before the ceremony. During our ceremony while we were signing the documents, she sang ‘At least’, this was such a special and emotional touch, a few guests were shedding tears. This was beautiful, and it was also our favourite part of the ceremony and the one we will remember for a lifetime. Julia also entertained our guests while they were getting seated for the wedding breakfast. She helped to fill in these gaps during the day flawlessly, adding a special touch. We have received many FABULOUS comments from our guests who were impressed by Julia’s talent. Thank you Julia. You are amazing and I hope that many more couples and their guests will get to enjoy your wonderful voice.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I think my clients enjoy my stress- free professional approach and my readiness. But I also do think that a rich tone of voice adds class and atmosphere to the event.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed for weddings in ‘The Free Company’ in Edinburgh as well as ‘Webster’s’ In Kelvinbridge, I have performed at The Barras in Glasgow, at Peebles Hydro, at La Belle Angele in Edinburgh- to name a few.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am most influenced by Tracy Chapman and Etta James. I love Tracy’s lyrics and Etta’s beautiful tone of voice and powerhouse vocals.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I opened a prestigious fashion show for ‘ Clique’ in Glasgow accompanied by a Saxophonist.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Shoot me a message and I’m sure we can work it out :)

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I am absolutely happy to play your playlist in between me singing or however you would need it but I do not provide professional DJ services (deck with tracks and mixing in real time).

How much time do you need to set up?

I am always there at least an hour before guests come in- sound check takes 10 minutes. That includes set up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely it is your wedding :)

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I do, though I will use the venues equipment preferably as it would be a better sound quality than portable speakers. ( I use a Bose S1 pro speaker which is very high quality but venues usually have surround sound systems)

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Absolutely, I am happy to learn an extra song or two :)
