I started playing violin at the age of 4 with the Suzuki method. Since then I have completed my ARSM diploma in violin and have played in many concerts for charity and as a part of orchestras or groups. I have played in multiple orchestras as a young musician such as the National Youth Orchestra and the London Schools Symphony Orchestra in venues such as the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and many more. I have always had a love and passion for music. From a very young age I was immersed into the world of classical music and since then I have expanded myself to broader and wider genres of music. However the sound of an orchestra will always be at the core of my heart. I often performed and learned with music groups as a child, but it wasn't until I went on residency with the National Youth Orchestra that I felt the full power and delight of playing with that many people. Contributing to sound at that musical level at this age is a thrill and an honour; and I have taken many lessons away from it on cooperation, compromising, and friendship. I hope to apply these skills to any career setting I find myself in, but especially current musical endeavours like orchestras, bands and other gigs. I think the selling point of my playing is the emotional connection I have to music. Despite my age, I really express myself through my instrument, as I believe in a live setting, the playing itself is only half of the performance, and an audience benefits from seeing the journey I take with the music I play. This is one of the main reasons I enjoy performing so much, as there is only so much I can get out of practicing on my own or playing in a large group, and I hope to have many more amazing opportunities like I have already to play as a solo act.

Our work summer party went with a swing thanks to Zachary! He is an extremely accomplished and versatile young musician who kept everyone entertained with a well selected repertoire of jazz tunes – alternating between keyboards and electric violin. Highly recommended!

I asked Zachary to perform at an event I was hosting. He gave a fantastic performance of extremely high quality musicianship, both as a member of a quartet and as a soloist. The audience thoroughly enjoyed it and I would be happy to recommend him.
