Yorkshire Piano Duo

Yorkshire Piano Duo will bring a touch of class to your event, whether you’re planning a wedding, party or corporate function. Classically-trained pianists Barney (BA Hons Music, MA Music Composition) and Junyi (Grade 8 Distinction) play a wide variety of tunes, from pop classics that will have your guests up and dancing, to elegant classical, Latin, jazz, movie soundtracks, and more. We’ll tailor our set to create the perfect atmosphere for your special day. As a young boy, Barney would listen to his grandma and grand-aunt play four-hands duets on the piano, and wish that he could one day do the same. Decades later, after studying music and playing in pop/rock, folk, Latin and klezmer bands, he met Junyi, who had been looking for another pianist to play duets with. And so, Yorkshire Piano Duo was born! We can bring all necessary equipment (Roland RD 2000 or Nord Electro 4 electric piano, and varying levels of amplication, depending on what is required). Or if your venue already has a piano that’s in tune, we’d be happy to play it!
